
Ridiyagama Safari Park
You can experience an African safari, complete with lions, zebras, giraffes, cape buffaloes and some more animals indigenous to Africa. This safari park is near Hambantota and there are animals from all over the world. The drive-through safari park has three zones covering over 500 acres and three zones consist of African Lion Zone, The Sri Lankan Elephant Zone, and a World Zone

Minneriya National Park
Herds of elephants at the Minneriya National Park in Sri Lanka Minneriya National Park is the best place to see the natural habitat of the Sri Lankan elephants. This is a rich feeding area for the elephants and other species of animals that live in the surrounding forest areas during the dry season and it is believed that around 500 elephants can be seen in this park during the dry season. This park is also a home to different types of deer, a few species of monkeys, sloth bears and leopards.

Yala National Park
Yala National Park is the second largest nature reserve in Sri Lanka. With a history of over 1000 years, this famed sanctuary is one of the best places to spot the elusive leopard, majestic Asian elephant, and sloth bear – all in their natural habitat within a single reserve. In addition to having one of the highest concentrations of leopards in the world, Yala National Park is home to over 40 other animals and over 200 species of birds. Apart from flora and the fauna, two historic and popular religious pilgrimage sites are also located in Yala named as Situlpahuwa and Magul Vihara. Yala National Park is one of the popular guided tours in Sri Lanka and a must-do activity. Both adults and children can enjoy this experience of a lifetime.

Wasgamuwa National Park
Wasgamuwa National Park located in Matale and Polonnaruwa Districts is one of the best safari destination in Sri Lanka. Wild elephants dominate the park while some other species of animals and birds are also common sight for a safari.

Udawalawe National Park
Udawalawe National Park was created to make a homeland for the animals who got deserted with the development project around the Udawalawe reservoir. It is located near the Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces. Water buffalo, deer, wild boar, mongoose, foxes, jackal and many other species of animals can be seen during your safari in this park.

Kaudulla National Park Jeep Safari
Kaudulla National Park is also dominated by the wild elephants estimated 350 in number. Approximately 24 species of mammals in Sri Lanka have been reported in this park while approximately 400 species of birds and 26 species of fishes are also found here.

Gal Oya National Park
Gal Oya National Park was established in 1954 under the project of developing the largest reservoir in Sri Lanka, “Senanayake Samudraya” which was constructed by building a dam on the Gal Oya at Inginiyagala in 1950. This is also a rich reserve for wild elephants while some other species like deer, leopard, toque monkey, wild boar and water buffalo are also living there.

Bundala National Park
Bundala National Park is well known as a place where you can see many migratory water birds from around the world. This national park is a living place for 197 species of birds. Bundala National Park was designated as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2005 as the 04th biosphere reserve in Sri Lanka.

Pinnawalla Zoo
Pinnawala Zoo is known as the second zoo in Sri Lanka while the Dehiwala Zoological Garden is the first zoo in Sri Lanka as well as one of the oldest zoos in Asia. Due to the high industrialization in Colombo, there is no opportunity to expand the space of the Dehiwala Zoo. That is the main reason to clear the path to establish the Pinnawala Zoo as the second zoo in Sri Lanka. This is located near the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala, Kegalle.
